Tracey J. Strasser Vorus is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst in private practice who has been working with adolescents and adults for over 25 years.

Dr. Vorus completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at New York University in 2002 and earned her certificate in Psychoanalysis in 2008 at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR). Prior to opening her practice, Dr. Vorus was a research scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute at Columbia University Medical Center, where her work focused primarily on Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, and disorders associated with the menstrual cycle.

In addition to her current practice, Dr. Vorus supervises at IPTAR’s Clinical Center and is the Co-Director of IPTAR’s Clinical Psychology Internship / Externship and Social Work Practicum Program.

Dr. Vorus is also a fine artist. She specializes in photorealistic painting across a variety of media, subjects, and sizes, typically on canvas and canvas board. After recently completing small-scale still life and beach scenes in acrylic and oil, she is currently developing a series of large-scale floral and landscape compositions in oil. She also creates large-scale and multi-panel abstracts in acrylic using palette knives and other painting tools.
